Harry Heinzl currently works for the Office of the Auditor General of Pennsylvania. He serves the Commonwealth as an auditor of municipal pensions for the southeast region.
Heinzl has an extensive financial accounting background that ideally suits him to the office of County Controller. He devoted 8 years as an adjunct instructor of accounting and economics at the local college level; served 14 years as a cost analyst at the former Naval Air Warfare Center, Warminster; and worked for 3 years as a computer programmer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
He graduated from Drexel University and then attended Temple University where he received a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Economics. He moved to Buckingham Township in 1978 where he and Nancy, his wife of 43 years live. Heinzl is the father of two grown children, John and Grayce, and is a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Army (1968-1970) where he held a Top Secret Crypto security clearance.
His platform as a controller candidate is to be a full-time Department Executive; a watchdog of taxpayer monies; and, especially in these times of economic recession, see to it that county government spends only those funds which are absolutely necessary to be spent on behalf of the citizens of Bucks County.
