BCDC LAUNCHES COUNTYWIDE VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE

COUNTYWIDE VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE

Bucks County Democratic Committee Voter Registration Drive set for Saturday March 15th. (SEE LOCATIONS BELOW) 10AM - 3PM Unless otherwise noted

The Ides of March will not be good for local Republicans as the Bucks County Democratic Committee launches a county-wide registration effort capitalizing on the excitement of the Pennsylvania Primary.

According to recent Board of Election figures, since the beginning of 2008 Republicans have a net gain of 152 registered voters, Independents beat the Republicans for the first time with a net gain of 172 voters, and Democrats crushed the Republicans by a 20 to 1 margin with a net gain of 3141 registrations.

This coming Saturday, Democratic volunteers across the county will hold registration drives in shopping centers, libraries and other public locations.

Republicans have been losing the registration contest during every reporting period for the past 5 years and it is accelerating. The 40,000 vote advantage they once enjoyed in Bucks County has been whittled down to 17,000.

Bucks County Democrats are on track to register historic numbers of new voters and switch existing voters. Residents who are interested in participating in the April 22nd Democratic Primary must be registered as Democrats by March 24th to be eligible.
