The 2009 election cycle will be upon us shortly.
The Bucks County Democratic Committee is looking for the following countywide candidates this year... (4-year terms)
District Attorney
Controller
Recorder of Deeds
Prothonotary
Sheriff
Jury Commissioner
Information on the responsibilities of each of these offices may be found at www.BucksCounty.org under the "government" section.
We are also looking for local candidates to run for these local municipal offices... (these are typically 4-year terms - except Superviseors which are 6-year terms)
Boro Council Member
Township Supervisor
School Board Member
Tax Collector
Constable
Auditor
Additionally, every polling location is staffed by a judge and two inspectors - all of those positions are up for election this year across the entire county's 303 polling locations....
Judge of Elections and Inspector of Elections (4-year term)
Five or ten signatures are all that is required to get your name on the ballot and run for these local offices. Ballot circulation begins Feb 17th 2009. Contact your local Democratic committee if interested via www.BucksDemocrats.org.
