Deputy Chair

Doylestown, PA, Sept 29, 2005 - Bucks County Democratic Committee Chairman John F. Cordisco has appointed Helene Ratner to the position of Deputy Chair of the organization.

Ratner has previously led the committee’s voter registration committee and been a leader in coordinating fundraising activities for the Democratic Party. Under her stewardship, Democratic registrations have outnumbered Republican registration by almost 2-to-1 in 2004 alone and the party has won the registration battle for 9 consecutive reporting periods.

“Helene Ratner is one of the hardest working Democrats in Bucks County,” said Cordisco. “She is instrumental in our progress and our success and we expect her energy and input will propel us to further victories this November.”

Ratner’s appointment is part of the Democratic party’s continued organizational effort which has seen the number of committee people increase to 500 countywide, has led to the creation of more than a dozen new municipal Democratic organizations, and helped the party field 391 local candidates this year.
